Wind Energy in Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, and other southeastern states is viable in the mountain and coastal regions although in the flatter inland regions it is not. Wind Turbines are manufactured in a variety of sizes with features for battery charging, water pumps and direct connection with the utility company. In the past we have used the old multiblade galvanized steel wind mills for pumping water on farms and rural residences but today we see the more efficent 2 and 3 blade wind generators. These designs allow more air to pass through the blades instead of around them as in the old style multiblade types.
